About Me

Hi, students and parents! My name is Heather Arbesu and I am so excited to be your teacher! We are going to do so many FUN things this year, and of course, learn A LOT.  I was born in Florida and attended Pinellas County Schools for my K-12 education. I received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and my Master's in Reading Education. This will be my 12th year teaching 1st grade, with those years being a mix of teaching in Alaska, California and Florida. My husband is active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard and I have 2 children that also attend Harvey Elementary. My son Kaiden will be moving up to the new Harey campus as a 6th grader (how did we get here already?!) and my daughter Teagan will be going into 2nd grade! I am so excited to meet you and make memories together all year long! 

My family enjoys traveling, hiking, fishing, boating and Disney trips! We are a big baseball family (both my kids play) and we love hockey, too!
